Dark Light

Today is Nikki’s 34th birthday πŸŽ‚ and our only plan is just to wake up early this morning to complete all the recommended lab tests from our check up last week.

Then we need to go back again tomorrow to get the results and to see if there’s a big shrink in the placenta (a topic that I’ll share here soon).

And that’s it. Sounds depressing isn’t it?

But to be honest, not really.

Birthday Gift

On the way home, we just spontaneously stopped by a near Burger King to enjoy our favorite plant-based burger on her special day for breakfast. πŸ”

We weren’t able to go out as much like before due to our current condition so every moment like this is like our date. πŸ’•

We reflected about life and how we both love the simplicity of our lives now.

And out of the blue she asked me, “What’s your birthday message for me?“.

Of course I responded with a simple and sweet message but still, I’m not an impromptu guy so I wasn’t able to give her a very thoughtful message in an instant. πŸ˜…

So here’s my birthday gift to you. 🎁

Birthday Message

Dear Mamay,

What a journey it has been. And we both agree that by far, this is the toughest and challenging time of our lives together.

Even so, I just want you to know that I will always be here by your side no matter what.

In sickness and in health, we may or may not have our own children, know that I will always love you.

We may not be able to celebrate like the usual (because we are in a very unusual situation) but it really doesn’t matter.

Despite of all this, still the greatest gift we received from God is the miracle to face every day with hope and love together. And that’s the best gift ever!

I may never be the same man (if I’m being honest), but I’m still the man you first knew who still believes and cries out to Jesus.

And I’m still the man who loves you very much. 😘

All glory to God! ☝🏻
